Food was amazing, gourmet burger was delicious. Black forest gateau and the mochas are great too. Lovely staff, very helpful and a nice space to dine in.
We hired out the back room for lunch for a 60th birthday. It was fantastic, the service and the food were excellent. The staff very friendly and great and ensuring the party went smoothly. I would recommend and will definitely visit again.
Went to the cocktail bar, it hasn't been open long. The interior is nice and modern, the cocktail was lovely and the guys serving were very pleasant. Will be back when it's opened longer. There is a food menu and and it looked great with plenty of gluten free and vegan options
Staying in Bangor again tonight. Googled to see where to eat, and had a nosey in through a few windows. Ended up at Ava - again! Third time now. And it certainly didn't disappoint! Friendly welcome. Managed to nab a table without a booking (only just!) Prompt service. Food was really good. I opted for the Halloumi grill, and my husband the steak sandwich. Other than several fatty bits on the steak our plates were cleared. Would've been good to have some form of 'green' on the plate along with the steak. Reasonably priced, other than dessert which was 6 for a ridiculously small portion. Tasty however! Four pints, two mains, one dessert 56. Highly recommend. Again! Update Nov 2024 Loved it. Good service and great food. Italian mixed beans con carne tonight. Super tasty. I do recommend booking in advance as it does be busy. Thank you And we're back! Jan 2025. Caramelised onion tarte tatin. Really good. Hubby had chicken and chorizo paella. Both really good. Service spot on as always. I do recommend booking in advance. Don't assume it'll be quiet on a cold January Saturday!!!
We eat here regularly and it's always great. The staff are super friendly and the food is delicious! They also have an amazing gluten-free selection which is hard to find in most places. Excellent spot for some cocktails as well.
Came here for NYE dinner. The first time we have been here and it was great. The service was brilliant and the food was fantastic as well. Pork Belly, Christmas Dinner, Chicken Burger & Pan fried cod all excellent - and a bottle of Malbec to wash it all down. Great atmosphere and even though we only had the table for 2 hours this was no issues as they wanted to turn around tables as I imagine NYE is one of their busier services, all communicated very professionally and didn’t feel like we were made to rush! Thanks for a lovely evening to all the staff.
Amazing service, amazing food and amazing staff. Couldn't fault anything. I've been going here for a long time and it keeps getting better. See you again soon
